Malice had its publication day yesterday so I set off to London with my son Edward. First stop was the Pan Macmillan offices. When you walk in the door the first thing you see is a wall of books!

I met up here with my lovely editor Julie Crisp, and the rest of the staff at Team Tor – a great bunch of people.
I signed some stock here, then headed off to Covent Garden for a wonderful lunch with Julie Crisp and her Editorial Assistant Louise Buckley.
Straight off to Goldsboro Books after lunch to sign 500 special edition copies.
Seeing 500 copies of Malice in a pile was quite something!

With a team effort the books were signed in good time – a production line of book-passers, openers, and stackers, with me signing in the middle. Then it was off to Forbidden Planet to sign some more stock.

After this we finished off the day with a reading from Paul Cornell, whose novel London Falling was also published yesterday. And what a thoroughly nice chap he was.
As we were leaving I had my first sight of Malice on the bookshelf of a bookshop! Woo-hoo.

Then it was back on the train and home to Eastbourne. Got home late, tired and smiling!
