Fantasy-in-the-Court

With my son Edward in tow I nipped off to London yesterday for the event Fantasy-in-the-Court, held at Goldsboro Books, Covent Garden.

Fantasy in the court

Things were already well on the way when I arrived late – got lost after getting off at the wrong tube station! A very crammed bookshop full of authors, bloggers, industry-insiders and fantasy fans. Had a great time speaking to old acquaintances and new. It was great to meet some bloggers that have reviewed Malice – D. E. M. Emrys of Written With a Sword, and Erik Lundqvist of I Will Read Books. Somehow Ed and I managed to make it home before midnight.

A big thank-you to David Headley, Managing Director of Goldsboro, and Head of Zeus, publishers that provided the free-flowing drinks. Also congratulations to Luke Scull, debut author and top bloke, who’s book was launched during the evening, The Grim Company.

Here are some dodgy photos, courtesy of my son, Edward.

  1. Hello John,
Who are those two handsome chaps in that second photo – hope you liked my product placement. Nice to meet you and Ed – hope he didn’t think I was too crazy.
Look forward to the second book.
    Best Wishes
