David Gemmell Awards

The longlists for the David Gemmell Award were announced last week. There are three categories and I am really pleased to see Malice up for the Morningstar Award – which is for the best debut of 2012. Also wonderful to see Paul Young nominated for the cover art in the Ravenheart Award.

It was a bit of a ‘pinch-me’ moment when I saw Malice on the list. I’ve been a huge fan of David Gemmell since my teens – he’s responsible for many an hour of lost sleep as I read through the night. He had a gift for writing some serious page-turners, so I feel privileged to be mentioned on a list with his name at the top. Also the Gemmell Awards are a readers award, which make it all the more special.

If you’ve read Malice and you think it deserves a vote then that would be brilliant, and much appreciated. The link is below.
